Missed opportunities are always a sore topic to discuss. For an introvert like me, it is all the more difficult to seize opportunities and break out of my shell.
There have been many times when I could have turned the tables just by speaking my mind. However, my silence and shyness caused many opportunities to go down the metaphorical drain. Oh! How I repented for all those times when I had a witty comeback, but I hid behind a veil of aloofness and nonchalance.
Despite this tragic situation, there has been one lucky outcome. I held back on my impulses and ruminated on what or how I should respond to situations. I developed a habit of putting my thoughts into words and created this blog.
Because I could not speak my mind at that instance, my mind decided to replay the events until I could create a perfect comeback. In this way, my mind made a fantasy series where I was the protagonist, director, and audience. After reviewing my life as a fantasy series, I could identify all the cringe and drama surrounding me.
I realized my life could do with much less drama and channeled it into creative writing. Being cruel or violent in life could get you jailed, but storytelling loves violence and action. At least this could earn me a living.
